Peace, relaxation, panoramic views, mountains—that’s why you’re here.
Orbi is the name of the mountain peak you can see from the windows. You can hike there from the house: a 2.5-hour hike takes you up through the forest, passing by various scenic overlooks. In winter, you can explore the same slopes on snowshoes, stopping at the Vaxelaire mountain hut if needed. La Bresse-Hohneck is a 30-minute drive away for skiing.
After a great day, a double bed or two single beds await you for a good night’s rest. The shower, separate from the toilet in the bedroom, lets you freshen up—the perfect way to unwind after a day of activity. Everything you need to recharge. A third sleeping space can be provided as an extra bed if you’d like.
A secure storage area allows you to store, recharge, and repair your bikes as needed, or to store your ski gear during the winter. Le Balcon de la Zimette has been certified as an “Accueil Vélo” facility—it’s designed specifically to meet the needs of cyclists and mountain bikers.
In the evening, there’s nothing planned. By reservation, we offer a table d’hôte meal served at a large family-style table—featuring local ingredients, home-cooked meals, and a single menu tailored to each guest’s food intolerances and dietary needs. It’s a special opportunity to chat with guests staying in the other rooms.
We are in the town of Ventron, at an elevation of 830 meters, in a former farmhouse built in 1925.

What time can I arrive?
Starting at 5:00 p.m. If you plan to arrive earlier, please contact me to confirm that I’ll be there so I can welcome you.

Yes, there is private parking on site.
Where should I store my bikes and skis?

Can the room accommodate 3 people?
Yes. An extra bed can be set up as needed in addition to the double bed. The double bed can be separated into two 90×200 beds.
Can we go hiking right from home?
Yes. The Club Vosgien trails start at the end of the path and climb toward the peaks of Orbi and Grand Ventron…
