The key word here is space. When there are four of you—parents and children, or friends—you need room to breathe, to unpack, and to avoid getting in each other’s way.

Le Comteux is the name of the hamlet you can see through the windows. It is the largest room in the house, measuring 30 m² and consisting of two adjoining rooms.

After a great day, a double bed or two single beds await you for a good night’s rest. The shower, separate from the toilet in the bedroom, lets you freshen up — the perfect way to unwind after a day of activity. Everything you need to recharge. A second adjoining room expands the space with two additional sleeping spots. A family-friendly room, complete with free baby gear for ages 0–3—crib, high chair, and changing pad. Everything is provided; no need to bring anything.

Beyond the bedroom, there’s plenty for the kids to do. Game room, library, terrace—and if you want to let off some steam, the mountains are right there. In the evening, there’s nothing planned. By reservation, we offer a table d’hôte meal served at a large family-style table—featuring local ingredients, home-cooked meals, and a single menu tailored to each guest’s dietary restrictions and preferences. It’s a special opportunity to chat with guests staying in the other rooms.

A secure storage area allows you to store, recharge, and repair your bikes as needed, or to store your ski gear during the winter. Le Balcon de la Zimette has been certified as an “Accueil Vélo” facility—it’s designed specifically to meet the needs of cyclists and mountain bikers.

We are in the town of Ventron, at an elevation of 830 meters, in a former farmhouse built in 1925.
